In Mitla, Oaxaca, a peasant who wanted to be the creator of the best Mezcal in the world was never satisfied despite his efforts. One desperate night, he begged for divine help, and suddenly, a silhouette formed with smoke. The frightened peasant asked, "Who are you?" The silhouette responded, "I am the Devil". I heard your prayer and propose a deal. I will help you make the best Mezcal that has ever existed if, in return, you give me your soul. The peasant replied, "Not my soul, please. Ask for something else, anything." The Devil answered, "If you don't give me your soul, the Mezcal will have to bear my name, and no one will ever know that you made it." The peasant accepted the deal, and behind him, he found a bottle that magically appeared in front of him, with the name engraved on it. When he looked back, the Devil had disappeared…
